So back in August of 2013 I decided to make a change. I changed my lifestyle in regards to diet and exercise. I began a strict diet and a cross-fit style workout. What spurred this on was our family pictures from this past summer. I did not like the way I looked. I was 234 1/2 lbs and didn't feel good. So I joint C-Town Barbell Club in Covina and the change began. It wasn't easy, but I stuck with it and something happened: I began to lose weight and get stronger. Over the course of the following months, the weight began to drop and I began to feel ever better.
As of the end of March I weigh around 187 and feel great. The C-Town Barbell Club is never really easy and some days, like today, it was just brutal. I missed the past week of workout and my body felt it. Doing 21 - 15 - 9 of thrusters and sumo deadlift high pull wore me out. BUT, I wouldn't sacrifice this feeling for how I felt back in August.
