There is a lot I can say here, but Touchcast in the classroom can take any bit of multimedia and make it that much better by adding in links, running twitter feed, popups, and more. I'm not giving it due justice with this type of description, but with the videos I have, I can add in so much more to give my students a deeper learning experience.
I had the privilege of attending CUE14 and for the first time. I have been a tech user, tech supporter, tech mentor, tech trainer and more on my campus. I have never attended CUE. I was given this opportunity this year from my district and I'm so glad I went.
I was moved by David Theriault's session on blogging and it's use in the classroom. Getting my kids to write is so important to me and I think using blogging may well be the tool to do it. Friday's sessions on GAFE (Google Apps for Education) cemented for me that I am on the right track and using all of Google's tools in my classroom. Saturday kicked my butt as I began a deeper exploration of Augmented Reality: Aurasma, Aris, and more will be coming to my classroom soon. Christina Hochleitner and Jason Seliskar have been stretching and encouraging me with being a tech trainer and I look forward to submitting requests to present at this Fall's SGVCUE Tech Fair and hopefully CUE15. Let's make an attempt at the turning of a new leaf. So, maybe I can make an attempt at blogging. This should be my journaling more than anything else. I just don't have the time to write, but typing..... well I could very likely do this and do it well. Let's see where this goes and if I can keep up with it and make it a habit in my life. |
